The Personal Pronouns of The Mehri Language as Spoken in Saudi Arabia

Mehri is one of six Modern South Arabian languages spoken in southern Arabia. These have been noted for their retention Semitic phonological and grammatical features that disappeared from other languages. Oman, Yemen, parts eastern Saudi Arabia, some Gulf States. classified by UNESCO as “definitely endangered”. Previous studies Omani Yemeni exist, but there no on are used Morphologically, the dialect groups differ Mehri, also known Mahriyōt, distinguishes gender second person singular independent pronouns, whereas Mehreyyet, western do not.
